History

THE BACH was a dream of one woman.

Glenda Ferguson imagined an arts and craft  complex dedicated to assisting Northlands talented artisans, an initiative where those  seeking ‘the next step’ would find valuable help in marketing their work, through encouragement, feedback, and presentation, and where the established artisans of Northland could display and outlet their product in a location as inspirational as the work itself. With the aid of a few committed helpers, transforming the 250sq.m.of a dark windowless building into a light and cheerful gallery /shop/ display area saw her dream become a reality.

In 2003 THE BACH was opened in the thriving Town Basin of Whangarei and has been a huge success for both Whangarei and the members/artisans involved.
